Introduction to 2D Animation.

In this workshop we will be using the free online 2D animation software called Brush Ninja to have some fun and create our own animations using iPads! We will look at applying some basic animation principles but the emphasis will be on having fun. Bring your drawings to life! This workshop is suitable for beginners, with no experience in animation, most appropriate for ages 9 – 14.

Andrew Kunzel recently joined the College of Creative Arts at Massey University after a long career in the animation industry. He is a passionate teacher with a love for the craft of animation. He has worked on many international feature films, from the ground-breaking “Lord of the Rings – The Return of the King” to “Avatar – The Way of Water”. Andrew has directed and produced animated television series and has also worked in the games industry as an artist and animator. His experience in a variety of specialist roles allows him to share an extensive set of animation skills with his students, from traditional hand drawn to 3D computer generated.
